SIERRA PERRA
Fruit of the Vine’s Endeavour
Sierra Perra is a wine that arises from the vine’s determination to survive in an arid area, with compact, dry soil, where the sun is beating down on the vines. The only relief for the plant is the shade that the sierra casts over the vineyard in the late afternoon. The fruit that is born there is scarce but concentrated and rich in aromas. Aroma of red fruit, sweet on the palate, fresh, light and very persistent.

DESCRIPTION
Single varietal Garnacha Tinta. Very expressive wine of red colour with violet tones. Medium-high robe. Aromas of red fruit such as cherry and raspberry predominate. The subtle encounter with French oak wood leaves hints of vanilla for a round and fresh entry on the palate. It is light and very persistent on the palate, with a very pleasant aftertaste.
HISTORY
The history of our winery begins in 1956, when a group of small winegrowers in the Lerín area, convinced of the potential of their vineyards, decided to join forces and create a project whose main objective was to produce quality wines. Sharing vineyards and using techniques handed down from father to son, they founded Bodegas Alconde, in a privileged area of Navarra.
TERRITORY
The vineyards of Bodegas Alconde are over 50 years old and sometimes reach a century of existence. The climate of the whole region is very suitable for the ripening of the grapes, with cold temperatures in winter and warm in summer. The soils are very poor, chalky with an abundance of pebbles and very low yields. We produce smooth, balanced and very elegant wines.
