MORENO y CABEZÓN
An Old-Fashioned White
Moreno and Cabezón were childhood neighbours and playmates. All their lives, since they were children, they have been together, sharing the hard work in the vineyard and the moments of rest in the Calle Mayor. Thus was forged a friendship based on hard work and honesty. This wine bears their names and pays tribute to their memory.

DESCRIPTION
Vineyard in the municipality of Baigorri, in a landscape of holm oaks, holm oaks and red earth. The vineyard is worked with minimum intervention following the rules of Regenerative Viticulture. It is made by fermenting the must at a controlled temperature, to which 10% of fresh grapes are added. Ageing on lees in concrete tanks and three months in new 500-litre oak and acacia barrels. It stands out for its straw yellow colour and its aromas of white and citric flowers with hints of almonds and a very subtle vanilla. In the mouth it is enveloping, dry and fresh. It has a lively acidity. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
HISTORY
The history of our winery began in 1956, when a group of small winegrowers in the Lerín area, convinced of the potential of their vineyards, decided to join forces and create a project whose main objective was to produce quality wines. Sharing vineyards and using techniques handed down from father to son, they founded Bodegas Alconde, in a privileged area of Navarra.
TERRITORY
The vineyards of Bodegas Alconde are over 50 years old and sometimes reach a century of existence. The climate of the whole region is very suitable for grape ripening, with cold temperatures in winter and warm in summer. The soils are very poor, chalky with an abundance of boulders and very low yields. We make smooth, balanced and very elegant wines.
