Bodegas Alcondehas won two gold medals and a silver medal at the 28th MUNDUS VINI International Wine Awards, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of wine, which is held twice a year and to which more than 11,000 samples have been submitted.
The awards received by Bodegas Alconde, based in Lerín and part of the Navarra Designation of Origin, have gone to all the aged wines of its Sardasol Family. Sardasol Reserva 2015 and Sardasol Crianza 2017 both won Gold medals, while Sardasol Roble won a Silver medal.
‘Gold Medals for Sardasol Reserva 2015 and Sardasol Crianza 2017 and Silver Medal for Sardasol Roble’.
Sardasol Reserva 2015 is made from Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and after a traditional vinification in concrete tanks, it is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. The jury particularly valued its visual clarity and its intensity both on the nose and in the mouth.
Sardasol Crianza 2017 is made entirely from Tempranillo and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. It is a very balanced wine with a round and pleasant finish, of which the jury highlighted its intense colour and vigour in the mouth.
Sardasol Roble, which won the silver medal, is made from Tempranillo and Merlot and spends 4 months in French oak barrels until it reaches the right point of character and roundness.
